Our memorial pages are indivually designed and not mass produced by automatic uploads onto pages that all look the same. Many memorial sites have the same layout, same design, same colour etc. However here at Memorial Pages we want every memorial page to have it's own feel, unique design, with added content that represents the person to whom it is dedicated. For example, we incorporate photographs into the text so they are positioned relevant to the written content. See example - link opens in seperate window.

However in order to do this, we spend time with every memorial contributor, asking them about their requirements, what they would like on the page that they feel would best represent their loved one. We do not want to just have reams and reams of memorial pages that are all the same, but create pages that stand out and celebrate the life of the person concerned. At Memorial Pages we do not just 'leave you on your own wondering what to do', because every contributor has their own personal memorial contact that will help guide them through the process of creating a wonderful tribute to your family member, friend or a person you admired.

Because we work closely with every contributor we can incorporate photographs directly into the actually body of the text, giving it a unique look, rather than having just one photo either at the top or bottom of the page, or even on a seperate page, as most automatic memorial sites do. People can have up to 6 photographs individually placed on the actually memorial page, which we believe is unprecedented and an exceptional service.

FREE Gallery Page
- Because we realise how important a visual representation of your loved one is, in addition to the 6 photographs allowed on the main Memorial Page, we also offer a free seperate gallery page which can contain up to 20 photographs of your loved one. The gallery photographs are set in a frame of your choice. All you have to do is send us your photos via email and we will do all the design work for you.
A Seperate Condolence Page for family and friends messages

Every Memorial has 'attached' a page for 'Messages of Condolence' where family, friends or, if a public memorial, people who have been moved by visiting the memorial, can post messages free of charge. Unlike other memorial sites we do not allow automatic posting but ask that people email us with their message. We use this method in order to ensure that no obscene, deflammatory or nuisance messages are left that could be very distressing.

Memorial Pages have qualified photographers and digital software experts on hand that can deal with most photo problems. So, if you have a special photograph of your loved one or friend that you think is of no use (e.g. too damaged, or under/over exposed) then before you decide against using it, let our photographic team review the image. If you wish Memorial Pages can help spell check all your written content and we also have a library of images that can be used to add visual impact to your page, should you not have any photographs of your own. We also have a collection of suitable music, poetry and illustrations available for use. So even if you do not have access to a scanner, word processing software, mp3 convertor, etc, do not worry as we can still provide the materials necessary to get your memorial page online.

Your Memorial Page can be as public or private as you wish. We can ensure it is indexed by all the major search engines (eg Google, Yahoo, MSN) so the Memorial is available to anyone who wishes to view it. Or, we can ensure it is not indexed by search engines and is available only to the people you wish to have access.

We write each page individually in html and upload it to our website. This means each memorial has it's own website address that can be accessed easily by family and friends. The web address (known as a URL) is sent to the contributor once the page is uploaded to our website. A typical URL will be ; http://www.memorialpages.co.uk/xxxxx.php (xxxxx usually being the name or initials of the loved one) The same individual URL applies to 'Individual Galleries' and 'Messages of Condolence Page'.

All Memorial pages can be altered as requested by the tribute writer. (The Tribute Writer is the person who takes out the Memorial Package)

Full Manual Monitoring
- In order to maintain the integrity of the site and because of the sensitive nature of the material, we personally monitor all content that is sent to us - unlike most automated and free memorial sites that allow anyone to upload messages or add photos to gallery pages that can cause serious offence. Although manual vetting is labour intensive we do feel we need to do this in order to ensure that no content can cause offence to people, especially family and friends, or affect the special memory of their loved one. Our aim is to provide peace of mind for our contributors by taking care of their Memorial Pages.
Memorial Pages Free from Adverts
- Unlike some other automated and free memorial sites all our dedicated Memorial Pages will remain free of adverts. We strongly believe it is inappropriate to place any advertisments, commercial or personal, on Memorials which are there solely to commemorate a person's life.
